I made the suggested changes to .bashrc and .profile, and Finance::Quote
still doesn't load properly unless I start Gnucash from terminal with
X11 already running. No gconf errors reported now. And as I say, with
the work around it is working and that is a good thing. I'm at a loss to
understand why migrating to the new computer caused problems. I really
appreciate all the help troubleshooting.
