Hi,
I'm having trouble with Fink on 10.5 (Leopard) on my brand-new black
Macbook with 2.4 GHz Intel dual-core processor. I installed Fink on
OS X 10.5, compiling from source, and seemed to have no problems doing
that. However, when I try to install packages, Fink invariably
fails. (I have correctly installed X11 and Xtools 3.0 for Leopard.)
I have both stable and unstable enabled in fink.conf.
First, after installing Fink, I updated Fink with the command:
fink selfupdate-rsync
Then, I tried installing all of KDE with the command:
fink install bundle-kde-ssl
Everything downloaded correctly, then partially compiled, stopping
with the error message, "Failed: phase compiling:
djvulibre-3.5.20-1001 failed. Before reporting any errors, please
run "fink selfupdate" and try again."
So I ran "fink selfupdate" (along with "fink update-all"), tried
again, and got the same result. Next, I tried compiling just a single
package, kolourpaint (plus a few other necessary packages that Fink
told me it was going to compile), using the command:
fink install kolourpaint
It partially compiled and then stopped with the message, "Failed:
phase compiling: gtk+2-2.6.10-1004 failed. Before reporting any
errors, please run "fink selfupdate" and try again."
So I ran "fink selfupdate" again, tried to install KDE again, then
kolourpaint again, and got the same failure both times. ("Failed:
phase compiling: gtk+2-2.6.10-1004 failed")
Next, I tried installing konqueror. This time, I got the error,
"Failed: phase compiling: kdelibs3-unified-3.5.9-1 failed"
So what's going wrong?
