Fink starts it up with /sw/etc/profile.d/dbus.sh; the question is, why does it run away? On my system, it just starts up cleanly and backgrounds like it should. Could you do me a favor and try running sample on it so I can figure out what it's doing wrong? Start a terminal, kill dbus-launch, then start a second terminal. In the first terminal, run "sample dbus-launch"; then, send me the file it creates in /tmp when it's done. - -- Benjamin Reed a.k.a.
