Dear Benjamin Reed, dear mailing list.
I was running the following command on my Macbook Pro, Mac OS X 10.5.5: bash $ fink update-all I ran the fink selfupdate command just prior to this, which completed without complaint. The build of one of the packages installed with the update-all command failed, with the following error message: ------------------ (lots of similar stuff in front...) If you continue to have issues, please check to see if the FAQ on fink's website solves the problem. If not, ask on the fink-users or fink-beginners mailing lists, with a carbon copy to the maintainer: Benjamin Reed <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Note that this is preferable to emailing the maintainer directly, since most fink package maintainers do not have access to all possible hardware and software configurations. ---------------- As I do not subscribe to this mailing list, please reply to me directly if you can find any mistake on my part, or a way of solving the problem. I am not interested in the postgresql83 package itself, it just shows up as a dependency in fink.
