I have gone to the gnome.org website but haven't a clue as to what to do. I do not have an .xinitrc file and I have deleted my ~/.gnome* and ~/.gconf* files. If I attempt to run gconf-editor I get a blank edit box with the can't connect message. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
