What OS are you using? If I recall correctly, installing the X11 distribution
from www.macosforge.org
http://xquartz.macosforge.org/trac/wiki/X112.3.1
Solved A LOT of problems.

Install it, execute fink rebuild gnucash2
And you should be good to go. I may also hazard a guess that you want to intall
gnucash2, NOT gnucash. Both version are in the fink repository.

Nope. No clue, since you've cut out all of the useful information
from the output. It's always best to post from just before errors
occur.

Hi,

I recently ran into an error when trying to install paraview. To
reproduce this error, just type "fink install paraview". (The error
is actually during the building of libvtkftgl.)

The error message follows:

[many lines of build messages snipped...]

I was able to fix this error by editing the doltlibtool file in the
/sw/src/fink.build/gtkhtml* directory and changing the shebang from
/bin/bash (which is the OSX version and is severely out of date) to
/sw/bin/bash. I am remembering this off the top of my head, more or
less, so please let me know if this doesn't help, I will try to find out
exactly what I did when I am in front of my Mac.

Also, there is a thread which might help here:

How would I go about creating my own patch and/or upgrading the
package? I'm presuming it would involve creating a local package
repository of some sort.

I'm familiar with the portage/ebuild system w/ gentoo, so if its at
all similar to that, it should be pretty straight forward. I'm just
not sure where to look, and am apparently using the wrong search terms
in google.

Thanks,
