Have you tried running 'fink selfupdate-rsync' instead of just selfupdate? If that doesn't work, try 'fink selfupdate-cvs' then 'fink selfupdate-rsync' again. There was a problem a while back where fink 'forgot' how to update with rsync properly.

Thanks for the suggestions.selfupdate-rsync and 'index -f' didn't do it, so I tried to run selfupdate-cvs and it died on this error:
