This doesn't have anything to do with your selfupdate, since the file
that was changed (libXrandr.2.dylib) isn't provided through Fink. You
can verify that by running
dpkg -S /usr/X11/lib/libXrandr.2.dylib
which will return nothing, meaning that Fink's dpkg tool, which handles
the database of installed files, knows nothing about it.
The problem here is that your ktorrent was built against a newer
libXrandr.2.dylib than you currently have on your system. Without
knowing your whole installation history, I can guess at the following
scenario:
1) You installed Xquartz from macosforge.org, which has a
libXrandr.2.dylib with compatibility_version 5.0.0.
2) A system update at some later point (10.5.7, possibly) downgraded
libXrandr.2.dylib, and the replacement has compatibility_version 4.0.0.
Exactly! Even if I didn't provide any useful information you were able
to spot and identify the problem.
Thanks!
To solve this issue, either (re)install Xquartz or rebuild ktorrent
("fink rebuild ktorrent").
I have tried to rebuild ktorrent (I want to keep my X11 updated since
that now there's this nice copy-pasting improvement!) but I have run
into troubles:
dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/X11/lib/libXrandr.2.dylib
Referenced from: /sw/bin/kde-config
Reason: Incompatible library version: kde-config requires version
5.0.0 or later, but libXrandr.2.dylib provides version 4.0.0
configure: error: /sw/bin/kde-config --prefix outputed the non existant
prefix '' for kdelibs.
This means it has been moved since you installed it.
This won't work. Please recompile kdelibs for the
new prefix.
### execution of /var/tmp/tmp.1.XjB3Wf failed, exit code 1
Is there anythin that I need to rebuild as well instead of a simple
fink rebuild ktorrent
Thanks again!
