Olá, Alan. Yesterday the maintainer of scipy-py changed its dependencies from gcc43 to gcc44 (and from gcc43-shlibs to gcc44- shlibs). For future reference, I suggest you e-mail the maintainer of the package (you can get this information by running fink info packagename) and fink-devel, the mailing list geared towards maintainers. One question: are you making these package description modifications in place or are you copying them to your local tree [1]? If you're editing them in place then there's potential for them to be overwritten by fink selfupdate.
