I set up clamav on my machines. Clamav works well from command line and using ClamXav. However, although freshclam seems to update the virus database, the message it leaves in mail says:

Do I need to write to this file, and if so what do I need to do? I haven't changed anything in freshclam.conf which is mostly turned off except for these two lines: 1. PidFile /var/run/freshclam.pid 2.
