The problem seems to be solved:
I installed the test package:
nedit 5.6cvs20081118-2
and
openmotif4 /openmotif4-shlibs 2.3.2-1
First test's:
copy paste into one window;
from one to the other;
column copy and paste;
from other applications into nedit
without any problem.
I did not disable any option of X11 2.4.0,
only
"Update Pasteboard immediately when new text is selected"
is disabled (I think that is the default option)
