hello all,
i still have problems using fink because of the work's proxy. i updated to
1057 but still get

Could not connect to bindist.finkmirrors.net:80 (17.254.17.246). - connect
(60 Operation timed out)
but i ended up getting the suspicion it's something beyond fink, and related
to the X11 itself: all mac "normal" applications work through proxy
(actually not Mail.app, but whatever...) but a couple of days ago I noticed
that ssh was running in a linux machine i have at work, but not working in
my mac (no error message, just stays forever).
i tried googling for proxy related problems in X11 apps, but haven't found
anything that helped me. the network administration guys know nothing about
mac, so they aren't of any help. it's annoying... i hate proxy.
any thoughts? fink and/or X11 related?
