I think I solved the problem. extutils-makemaker-pm581 isn't even listed in the current fink package database. My version of perl is 586, so I purged extutils-makemaker-pm581 and installed extutils-makemaker-pm586 instead. At least now my update-all is proceeding smoothly. --Jonathan
