0)  The 10.6/unstable tree is indeed unstable right now, with updates
being made as we get bug reports and test packages.

1)  Email the maintainer, as he is responsible for any changes to be
made, and knows his schedule better than we do.  We're all unpaid
volunteers and there's no project-wide scheduling.

2)  Hard to say, since you didn't mention which _file(s)_ the change
needs to be made in, nor post a link to the Mono list article in
question, nor did you post a sample of your output.  (For that matter,
also whether you're using 32-bit or 64-bit Fink)
If people have to go to a lot of trouble to debug stuff, they tend to
move on to other things ;-) , so it's best to give us as much
information as possible up front.

3)  This is the first report that I've noted on the list about mono on
10.6.1, so I've not seen any reports of a workaround.  You're certainly
free to try out what you read about and see if it works for you and then
let us (in particular the maintainer) know so that our package can get
updated.
