On an OS X 10.6.2 system running Fink's unstable branch, I decided to see if I couldn't get a complete GNOME environment going, right down to Metacity. Unfortunately, it seems Apple has changed the way .xinitrc files works since the last time I tinkered around with this (10.4 or so).
What is the current approved method to switch from quartz-wm to metacity?
