I have built kde_4.4.0 successfully, and it seems to be working
properly. However, I get the following warning when the program comes
up: Nepomuk Semantic Desktop needs Virtuoso RDF server to store its
data. Installing the Virtuoso Soprano plugin is mandatory for using
Nepomuk.

Soprano was built properly and installed. Is there something else I
need to do? Thanks.

Oh, I would recommend for the time being that anyone who has the
earlier version of kde4 installed that they remove that first before
installing the new version as the install will go much easier. This
recommendation will not be necessary when Ben gets the packaging
depends sorted out. As of now I did a fair number of force overwrites
as well as temporary removals and reinstalls to get everything working.
