Try rebuilding oniguruma.  I did that, and now "doesn't match to regex" works.  
I still cannot get "match to regex" to work, but I'm not sure if that is a real 
problem, or whether I simply haven't figured out how the regexes work.  I 
rarely use regexes, so I quite possibly have an error in any regexes I try.
