Setting such a symbolic link manually doesn't suffice.  Fink only uses
the presence of /usr/bin/gcc-4.2 as an indicator that one has gcc4.2
from Xcode.

Also, setting "/usr/bin/gcc" and "/usr/bin/cc" to be gcc-4.2 may cause
problems with some packages.

I'd recommend just running the Xcode installer again and installing the
gcc4.2 compiler package (or just install that) rather than manually
manipulating symbolic links in your system area.
