(news.gmane.org lets you search just the fink-users mailing list) Setting such a symbolic link manually doesn't suffice. Fink only uses the presence of /usr/bin/gcc-4.2 as an indicator that one has gcc4.2 from Xcode. Also, setting "/usr/bin/gcc" and "/usr/bin/cc" to be gcc-4.2 may cause problems with some packages. I'd recommend just running the Xcode installer again and installing the gcc4.2 compiler package (or just install that) rather than manually manipulating symbolic links in your system area. - -- Alexander Hansen Fink User Liaison -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.10 (Darwin) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAkxYPWkACgkQB8UpO3rKjQ/VXwCgi2fZZ8bUR1S46eI5BVIkMhVb 4SEAn31/Sb41iqET5sDGrsii8GPdqz03 =w0sj -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Palm PDK Hot Apps Program offers developers who use the Plug-In Development Kit to bring their C/C++ apps to Palm for a share of $1 Million in cash or HP Products.
