Does it work if you downgrade gnuplot via "fink install gnuplot-4.2.6-2"?

gnuplot-4.4.0-3 and aquaterm-1.0.1-5 have been working OK for me
together, but on 10.6/i386--I haven't tried 10.6/x86_64 yet.
