Hi I recently tried to install the netcdf-gfortran package on a computer running Mac OS 10.6.4. I had gcc and gfortran, but only wanted the netcdf support. When typing
fink install netcdf-gfortran it replied that fink had to install gmp, gcc44, and gcc44-shlibs. So it started with gmp, and then said that gcc44 cannot be built when you have gmp. The workaround was to install gcc44 first, and then install netcdf-gfortran. This seems to be a small bug.
