My fink setup was installed just yesterday. I began with the tarball,
and followed the procedure described in fink news choosing
always the default options. My system is "mostly 32 with some 64 packages".

The only thing different I did was to edit by hand the /sw/etc/fink.conf
file to add the trees

unstable/main unstable/crypto

Just now I checked on another machine (fink 0.29.17 Mac OS X 10.5.8) the
fink.conf file and it has an extra tree: local/injected
that is not on the 10.6.5 machine.

The message
> Error: attempt to add non-widget child "dsm" to parent "startupui"
> which supports only widgets.
appears right away in the terminal. I did not get any window at all.

Thanks,
Eduardo Pestana
