Sorry, your response to the OP didn't ask for more information. I have the
exact same error AFAIK, but I'll try to fill in some blanks. As far as I can
tell, the problem is within ppl-shlibs, which gets compiled and installed
before ppl (fink refuses to try to build ppl until ppl-shlibs is installed).
Earlier in the build of ppl-shlibs (running only 'fink install ppl-shlibs'...
no dependencies identified), I have:

It looks like it wants to move the *directory* ppl, but that seems erroneous to
me. I don't see any other glaring warnings or errors.
