Binary distributions always use /sw. So if you want to use a bindist, 
official or unofficial, you need to use /sw. But even then, you can 
simply create a symlink /sw->/sw32 or /sw->/sw64.

Some packages have had problems when /sw was a symlink, but that doesn't 
count as feature, it is a bug.
