Dear All,
Yesterday I installed 64bit-Fink in a 10.6.7
MacBookPro17. So now I have both 32bit and 64bit
Fink installations.
With the machine running in 64bit mode everything built OK,
e.g., dx, xfig, gnuplot, udav, inkscape, pari-gp, and octave.
I only have a problem with dx-4.4.4-1505. When I run dx, it
starts OK and presents the file selector. But, if I open any
of the included examples, or any of my own files, I get the
following error:
"Format error (1) encountered in packet"

presented in many exactly overlapped small warning message
windows. If I execute the file, the warning messages continue
appearing and sometimes the machine crashes.
Using the 32bit fink installation, dx-4.4.4-1505 works
perfectly, with the machine running in either 64bit or 32bit
mode.
Could you please help me?
