I did the following: $ vi +13393 /sw/var/lib/dpkg/status ... Package: fink-buildlock-numpy-py26-1.6.0-2 Status: purge ok not-installed Section: unknown Architecture: darwin-x86_64 Version: 1.6.0-2 <-------------------------- Added this line ... $ Then the package installed just fine,- but after installing that line had vanished again. Obviously there must be a problem with updating /sw/var/lib/dpkg/status for this package.
