Your failures are in gmp, not atlas. Atlas has absolutely no bearing
on the problem at hand.
Apple made some changes in Xcode 4.2 on Snow Leopard which have
altered the default compiler that fink uses. We're about to release
an update to fink that should fix the issue, so watch for it when you
selfupdate.
