I need to install the gcc46 package on Mac OS X Lion (10.7.3) on iMac i5.
Every time that I try this, it gets stuck at some point without actually
proceeding. The error is not repeatable as it is stuck at different parts of
building. When I abort the process using Ctrl+C, the following message
emerges:

Note that this is preferable to emailing just the maintainer directly,
since most fink package maintainers do not have access to all possible
hardware and software configurations.
Please try to include the complete error message in your report. This
generally consists of a compiler line starting with e.g. "gcc" or "g++"
followed by the actual error output from the compiler.
Also include the following system information:
