That's a limitation in our package description files.  I'm using the 
same file for all of the combinations of octave[-atlas][-x11].  However, 
the user-visible description text (cf. "fink info packagename"), which 
is what the website puts up, doesn't provide me a way to use different 
text for the different package variants other than the package name 
itself.  I could mention _all_ of the variants, though.  That wouldn't 
be a bad idea.

The difference between octave-x11 and plain octave is that the former's 
built-in fltk graphics windows will use X11 to display, whereas in the 
latter case they display in the "normal" Aqua window manager.
