Hmmmmmmmm.  I think I'm going to try a reboot.  It's a 
server, so this is something of a last resort, but this time 
of night won't upset any users.  I've also seen sudo freak 
out twice, and "chown: fink-bld: Invalid argument" twice for 
different random packages.  I'll be back if I can get 
repeatable consistent errors after trying this :-|
