Your local build worked because you were using Apple's default "g++"
compiler which is:

$ g++ --version
i686-apple-darwin11-llvm-g++-4.2 (GCC) 4.2.1 (Based on Apple Inc. build
5658) (LLVM build 2336.11.00)

This compiler is less strict than the clang++ from your Xcode version,
and _that_ is what Fink uses for "g++"

I've just uploaded a fix which works for me on 10.8, and it should be
available shortly via "fink selfupdate".
