Aha.  That's potentially the source of your problem, and might cause
difficulties building other packages.  The FSF GCC compilers from Fink
aren't completely compatible with those from Xcode:  some options aren't
available, and they seem to have problems when interacting with
Apple-specific headers and libraries

Verify that your /usr/bin/g++ is indeed gcc-4.2.1, and if so, then
temporarily remove gcc47 via "fink remove gcc47" and you should be good
to go.
