Yes, because a build lock problem is typically a _symptom_ that the dpkg database has lost sanity, usually due to a system crash, losing a Terminal window, etc. This precludes installing anything. Where is the folder where I can delete build locks? > > -- > Vincent > <You snipped the failure mode text here> > > Can't set build lock for aquaterm (1.1.1-1) > <snip> > > See http://wiki.finkproject.org/index.php/Fink:buildlocks for more > information. Did you look at the url listed above? That covers the most common failure mode. As does http://www.finkproject.org/faq/comp-general.php?phpLang=en#dpkg-parse-error If you have a failure mode which doesn't mention the status file, then post back with the full failure message. -- Alexander Hansen, Ph.D. Fink User Liaison My package updates: http://finkakh.wordpress.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ LogMeIn Rescue: Anywhere, Anytime Remote support for IT.
