Dear all.
Yesterday I upgraded my OS to Mountain Lion.
Then I followed the instruction from the fink webpage:
-> fink reinstall fink
-> fink configure
(to check that the build's user was setup properly)

then i tried  a
fink selfupdate
and everything warked without errors.

Then I tried a
fink install perl5123-core

The package is downloaded but the tar process goes on forever...

[output end]

I have tried to execute the command
/sw/bin/tar  --no-same-owner --no-same-permissions -xvf
/sw/src/perl-5.12.3.tar.gz
from command line and it works without problems (as root)....

If I kill the process by ^C I see:
^C
### execution of /sw/bin/tar failed, exit code 2

So it really seems that fink is unable to use tar....
How can i fix this?
