Why do you want to do that? Isn't the clock in the menu bar sufficient? I
have in my ~/.blackboxrc
session.screen0.strftimeFormat: %e. %b %Y
and am using now fluxbox. Probably an useful combination taken from the
strftime(3) man page will do the job.
