Hi, I am running 10.8.5 and ran into problems trying to install

Here is my system info:

Distribution version: selfupdate-rsync Thu Nov 7 13:06:38 2013, 10.8,

Could not resolve inconsistent dependencies!

Fink isn't sure how to install the above packages safely. You may be able to
fix things by running:

  fink scanpackages
  sudo apt-get update
  sudo apt-get install openmotif4-bin=2.3.4-6

Failed: Fink::SysState: Could not resolve inconsistent dependencies

Note: the above apt-get didn't work. Gave a "dpkg interrupted" error.

As it says, "...may be able..." Sometimes those hints don't work.

Could you try it again and post the output? A verbatim post is way more
useful than any short quoted description. :-)

Also, openmotive4-bin 2.3.4-6 appears to already be installed on my system.

Could we see "fink list openmotif4-bin" ?

"Stopped" as in "froze up", or "stopped" as in "went back to the
terminal prompt" ?

I am using Fink Commander. Here is the entire output. At the end, status was
given as "Done", which I
guess means it returned to the terminal.

By the way, I receive all the Fink-Users emails so I don't understand why I am
considered to be a non-member.
As far as I know, I've been a member for many years.
