For what it's worth, I just finished building release 38 (Fink's version on 10.6) on 10.7 with very minimal changes. I had to change the g77 dependency to gcc48-compiler, and then add the following line to PatchScript (would work by actually patching the file in the patch): perl -pi -e 's|f77|gfortran-fsf-4.8|g' Makefile.config On 10.6, I see the same missing symbols error with or without using gcc48.
