Yeah.  It needs to be updated to use the current netcdf* packages--at 
least netcdf-c7.  I have no plans to put the older netcdf into 10.9.  (I 
didn't even want it for 10.7, but someone added it at that point without 
asking me).  I haven't found any netcdf-using package yet which doesn't 
build with the current netcdf*--though admittedly I haven't done 
extensive runtime testing.
