The failure you are seeing is actually in w3m (gnuplot is just your end 
destination), but the failure is actually from a bug in the package 
imlib2.  I've now fixed imlib2 in CVS and running 'fink selfupdate' 
should bring you the new version of imlib2 that fixes the problem and 
should make w3m happy.
