Got it.  Thanks!  (How come this is not offered on the main Fink 
downloads page?)

Anyway, it seems to be building now.  Next I'll try # rsync -au /sw-old/ 
/sw/
and see if any of my old stuff still works....  (perhaps I'd better make 
a copy of the new /sw first?  :-)
