Hmm...I didn't reproduce that (10.9 with a fairly fresh Fink install). I get: Fiona:.xinitrc.d hansen$ startx font_cache: Scanning user font directories to generate X11 font caches font_cache: Updating FC cache font_cache: Done unable to write 'random state' xauth: file /Users/hansen/.serverauth.92915 does not exist /opt/X11/bin/xinit: XFree86_VT property unexpectedly has 0 items instead of 1 and X starts OK. Are you using a $HOME/.xinitrc file to start amiwm? If so, it's possible that you might not be getting some font information. What I have is an executable $HOME/.xinitrc.d/94-amiwm.sh file which just has . /sw/bin/init.sh exec amiwm as its contents. -- Alexander Hansen, Ph.D. Fink User Liaison My package updates: http://finkakh.wordpress.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Subversion Kills Productivity.
