"dpkg -S <FILE>" tells you what *installed* package provides a specific file, but won't help if you're trying to figure out what package to install to get a file. The Fink website has a file search function that will tell you the package that provides a file, *iff* the package is currently present in the official binary distributions (that's the database that is searched). http://pdb.finkproject.org/pdb/filefind.php Hanspeter -- More agile than a turtle, stronger than a mouse, nobler than a lettuce. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Fink-users mailing list Fink-users@lists.sourceforge.net List archive: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.os.macosx.fink.user Subscription management: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-users
