Dear fink users,

yesterday my fink update-all session collapsed and when retrying, I got these
build lock problems:

Setting runtime build-lock...
dpkg-deb -b /sw/src/fink.build/root-fink-buildlock-guile20-2.0.11-1
/sw/src/fink.build
dpkg-deb: baue Paket »fink-buildlock-guile20-2.0.11-1« in
»/sw/src/fink.build/fink-buildlock-guile20-2.0.11-1_2014.04.22-15.51.15_darwin-x86_64.deb«.
Installing build-lock package...
/sw/bin/dpkg-lockwait -i
/sw/src/fink.build/fink-buildlock-guile20-2.0.11-1_2014.04.22-15.51.15_darwin-x86_64.deb
dpkg: parse error, in file `/sw/var/lib/dpkg/status' near line 5217 package
`fink-buildlock-guile20-2.0.11-1':
 missing version
### execution of /sw/bin/dpkg-lockwait failed, exit code 2
Can't set build lock for guile20 (2.0.11-1)

If any of the above dpkg error messages mention conflicting packages or missing
dependencies -- for
example, telling you that the package fink-buildlock-guile20-2.0.11-1 conflicts
with something else
-- fink has probably gotten confused by trying to build many packages at once.
Try building just
this current package guile20 (i.e, "fink build guile20"). When that has
completed successfully, you
could retry whatever you did that led to the present error.

/sw/bin/dpkg-lockwait -r fink-buildlock-guile20-2.0.11-1 >/dev/null

I edited the “status” entry in line 5217 as described in the wiki
(https://github.com/fink/fink/wiki/Buildlocks)

and now I get this “missing package name” thing:

Installing build-lock package...
/sw/bin/dpkg-lockwait -i
/sw/src/fink.build/fink-buildlock-guile20-2.0.11-1_2014.04.22-21.11.58_darwin-x86_64.deb

 missing package name
### execution of /sw/bin/dpkg-lockwait failed, exit code 2

Any ideas how to proceed?

Thanks!

Gerrit
