I do have the fink version of 'sed' installed, but I haven't looked at the 
source to verify it's being used (I checked the mailing list archives and saw 
this suggested for guile18)… it's been a while since I've dug into manual 
compilation with local package changes, but I may give it a shot tomorrow… was 
just hoping someone else might already have a fix in the works.
