Dear Alexander,
Installing default-icon-theme (with libgnomecanvas2-dev already installed)
solved the problem. Could perhaps someone fix the dependencies definition? A
related "issue" I had with the xournal installatian was that I had to remove
ghostscript-nox and install ghostscript instead. Is this really necessary?
Thanks for help,
Peter.
