Not really.  "fink list" shows the latest available version rather than 
the installed version.  This is normal.

What happens if you don't use "sudo" with your fink commands?  If fink 
is configured in the default manner you should never need to use "sudo" 
with it (and you definitely don't need it for "fink list").
