Hello, I've been pulling my hair out trying to install fink on a macbook pro 10.6.8. I get the directories installed in \sw but an actual installation of fink won't happen. The alerts that I can see from the installation output are:
checking size of unsigned long... configure: error: cannot compute sizeof (unsigned long), 77 ### execution of PERL=/usr/bin/perl failed, exit code 1 and phase compiling: dpkg-bootstrap-1.10.21-1220 failed. Perl does work fine on the computer and is installed in /usr/bin (though my computer calls perl in /opt/local/bin for some reason). Any help would be enormously appreciated.
