Dear all.
Today I migrated a laptop to Osx 10.10 and reinstalled fink from scratch with 
the installer tool provided from GitHub.
The fink installation went on nicely, but the selfupdate phase failed with:

Downloading the indexes of available packages in the binary distribution.
/sw/bin/apt-get-lockwait -q update
E: Type 'EOF' is not known in on line 17 in source list /sw/etc/apt/sources.list
### execution of /sw/bin/apt-get-lockwait failed, exit code 100
WARNING: Failure while updating indexes.

Failed: Downloading at least one of the following binary packages failed:

It’s the very first time I encounter a problem like that and I do not know how 
to debug it..
Any advice would be welcomed!
