Yeah, the cutoff for darwin 12 is .5. Perhaps some maintenance update for 10.8 
bumped the kernel version without actually being “OS X 10.8.6”.  

And since I’m primarily on 10.10, I just assumed 10.8 was coasting along 
nicely. :-)

This will be remedied in the next release.
