hi list,
i’m encountering some problem when running fink update-all (despite doing it on
a regular basis) :
[spip]<donati> fink update-all
Information about 11325 packages read in 1 seconds.
Can't resolve dependency "system-java-dev (>= 1.5-1)" for package
"libidn-1.31-1" (no matching packages/versions found)
Exiting with failure.
not sure what this means in practice (first time i’m encountering this
problem).
running :
[spip]<donati> fink-virtual-pkgs --debug
- checking OSX version... 10.10.4-1
- checking for 64bit-cpu... 64 bit capable
- checking for cups headers... 2.0000-1
- checking system perl version... 5.18.2
- checking Java versions:
- 1.7.0... not present on system
- 1.8.0... not present on system
- searching for java3d... missing /System/Library/Java/Extensions/j3dcore.jar
- searching for javaai... missing /System/Library/Java/Extensions/jai_core.jar
seems to suggest that i’m missing some java stuff though i don’t think i’ve
missed any Apple Java software update recently.
and i’m sure this problem did not show up last month or so during my most
recent fink update episodes.
is this the source of the problem ? where can i get the missing bits from ?
the version of fink i’m having is fairly recent :
[spip]<donati> fink -V
Package manager version: 0.38.6
Distribution version: selfupdate-rsync Fri Jul 17 13:20:03 2015, 10.10, x86_64
Trees: local/main stable/main local/injected
and i’m running it on a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2012) with OS X
version 10.10.4
