Your initial error means pretty much what it says:
/sw/fink/10.7/unstable/main and /sw/fink/10.7/unstable/crypto
probably are owned by root whereas fink is running rsync as your user,
and so it can’t remove those directories.
They’re not necessary, since we haven’t used an unstable tree since
10.7 came out, so just remove them manually.
